She has been a specialist teacher in Psychopedagogy of Dance and Theatre at CSDV, at Conservatori Superior de Dansa of Alacant and at Escola Superior d’Art Dramàtic of València. In 2015 she was an advisor to Conselleria d’Educació – CEFIRE for the development of the Performing Arts and Dance curriculum for ESO and Baccalaureate. She is a regular speaker in teacher training courses, as well as at conferences and conferences.
As a professional dancer she has worked in international companies in Europe, the United States, Central America, Australia and the Middle East. As a creator she has produced works in various formats (stage plays, performances, video art, documentaries and unconventional spaces). Her choreographies have been performed in the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Cuba, Portugal, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary and Singapore. She has received awards as a dancer, choreographer and stage director.
Since 2008, she has collaborated with the artist María Ángeles Vila through Las Mitocondria, based in Rome, developing artistic work from a gender perspective for museums, galleries, institutions and festivals.
In 2006, he established his company in Xàtiva, and began a social dance project in the city, for which he received the 2019 Xateba Prize for Equality. In 2010, he founded the training project Estudi AH and, later, Institut de Dansa Educocreativa® i Social together with Cristina Puchades, from where projects for the promotion and research of dance in artistic, socio-educational and therapeutic contexts are developed. IDES received the APDCV Social Dance Award at Comunitat Valenciana for its projects on dance and mental health (2021) and for older people (2023).
Together with Cristina, they make up the dance teaching team responsible for the Alicia Herrero studio.
