Cristina holds professional qualifications in Classical Dance and Dance Pedagogy from the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València (MEC), with additional pedagogical adaptation training in music (CAP, UV) and a postgraduate degree in Movement and Education (Institut del Teatre – Diputació de Barcelona). She has held different project coordination positions in various areas of dance in educational and cultural institutions. Member of the RED PLANEA review committee. He has been part of the board of directors of the Association of Dance Professionals of the Comunitat Valenciana (APDCV) and is currently a member of the Education committee.

Alicia holds a degree in Dance Pedagogy from Institut del Teatre – Barcelona Provincial Council and recognized higher-level credentials in Choreography and Performance granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture. She earned a Diploma in Dance Theatre from London Studio Centre (Middlesex University, UK) and trained extensively in classical dance at the Conservatori Professional de València. Alicia’s holistic studies include therapeutic body-based practices in England and India.
She holds a Master’s in Research and Intervention from the Universitat de València and is currently completing doctoral research on gender stereotypes in physical and sports activities. A member of the AFES research group.
Alicia is Professor of Contemporary Dance at the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València Nacho Duato, directing the Social, Educational and Well-Being Dance pathway. She has extensive teaching experience in psychopedagogy of dance and theatre across higher education institutions and advises curriculum development for regional dance education programs.
As a professional dancer she has worked in international companies in Europe, the United States, Central America, Australia and the Middle East. As a creator she has produced works in various formats (stage plays, performances, video art, documentaries and unconventional spaces). Her choreographies have been performed in the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Cuba, Portugal, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary and Singapore. She has received awards as a dancer, choreographer and stage director.
Since 2008, she has collaborated with the artist María Ángeles Vila through Las Mitocondria, based in Rome, developing artistic work from a gender perspective for museums, galleries, institutions and festivals.
In 2006, he established his company in Xàtiva, and began a social dance project in the city, for which he received the 2019 Xateba Prize for Equality. In 2010, he founded the training project Estudi AH and, later, Institut de Dansa Educocreativa® i Social together with Cristina Puchades, from where projects for the promotion and research of dance in artistic, socio-educational and therapeutic contexts are developed. IDES received the APDCV Social Dance Award at Comunitat Valenciana for its projects on dance and mental health (2021) and for older people (2023).
Together with Cristina, they make up the dance teaching team responsible for the Alicia Herrero studio.
Maria holds a qualification in Contemporary Dance from Conservatori Professional de Dansa de València and is trained in the Dansa Educocreativa® methodology.
She has expanded her studies with courses in creative dance, somatic bodywork, social and integrative dance, with particular emphasis on release and floor-based movement techniques.
Maria has performed in numerous festivals and shows.
She holds a diploma as a Pilates mat work instructor (FEEPYF) and a certificate in “Multielements” from the National Association of Pilates Trainers (ANEP).
She is currently pursuing a degree in Hispanic Studies at the Universitat de València and studies Choreography and Performance at the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València. Maria is also a member of the young company Innovatori de Moviment Alicia Herrero.
She has been trained in social dance since 2003, specializing in Ballroom Dance, Funky Jazz and Musical Theatre.
In 2015, she was certified as a Jazz Dance Teacher by Show Dance Studio in Valencia and completed training in the Dansa Educocreativa® methodology at Estudi Alicia Herrero.
She has participated in competitive dance and performed in numerous stage productions featuring choreographies by Pachi G. Fenollar and Alicia Herrero.
She regularly directs and choreographs amateur dance productions.

She has undertaken extensive professional training with Antonio Canales, Marta Sol and Stella Arauco from the Antonio Gades Company, and has completed additional coursework in performance, percussion and classical dance.
In 2012, she participated in intensive training programs at the Carmen de las Cuevas International School in Granada.
Alongside her artistic career, she is a qualified pharmacy technician and has training and professional experience as a social worker with children and young people.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Spanish Dance Choreography, with a focus on social and community dance, at the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València Nacho Duato, and is a member of the youth dance company Innovatori de Moviment Alicia Herrero.
