Estudi Alicia Herrero: training in dance and movement arts

Founded in 2010 by Alicia Herrero and currently directed by Cristina Puchades, it is a center managed by a women's cooperative dedicated to training in dance and movement arts.

Center registered in Conselleria d’Educació of Comunitat Valenciana with center code 46036611, offers its own educational programs such as Dansa Educocreativa® i Pregnancy® as well as a preparation itinerary for official professional and higher dance studies.

Educational programs for smart bodies and creative minds

At Estudi Alicia Herrero, we are committed to a interdisciplinary training in dance, including styles such as creative, classical/ballet, Spanish, contemporary and musical dance from the age of 3. Our own educational program is characterized by a inclusive, personalized and inquiring methodology, promoting the comprehensive development of students.

Regular training at the Studio

Our Dansa Educocreativa® program offers training in dance and movement arts for all ages and with various styles to enhance creativity, artistic development and the integral well-being of people. It also has a preparatory itinerary for official professional and higher dance studies. 

  • Dansa Educocreativa® for children, young people, adults and the elderly.
  • Flamenco classes for young people, adults and seniors.
  • Professional Itinerary to prepare for access to official professional and higher dance studies with training in classical/ballet and contemporary dance.

Activities in the Studio

  • Family Dance: Creative games and body expression workshops to strengthen emotional bonds.
  • Gravidansa: Dance and health workshops for pregnant women and mothers with their babies.
  • Urban Dance: Workshop for young people that offers a set of styles characterized by energetic and expressive movements with current music.
  • Contact improvisation: Social meeting space to investigate this technique based on physical contact and movement improvisation.
  • Jazz and Musical Theatre: Workshops introducing the repertoire of these dance genres.
  • Body techniques: Pilates, Alexander and Feldenkrais sessions with the aim of strengthening the body, improving posture, releasing tension and gaining body awareness.
  • Castanets workshop: Space to explore this traditional instrument through rhythm, coordination and movement.

In June and July we have artistic courses for boys and girls from 4 years old, as well as advanced level training in dance.

We offer professional advice in dance and performing arts for social and business events:
  • Creation of social choreographies for a wedding, event or celebration.
  • Workshops for companies and organizations with fun and creative experiences to promote socialization, team building, leadership, motivation and comprehensive health.

Where are we?

Our headquarters are located in Xàtiva (Espai Cultural La Nova, Acadèmic Maravall 8-b-2), from where we coordinate dance, training and research projects in Dansa Educocreativa® i social.
